Get Some Grass on the Fairways, Jul 11, 2011

I have played this course over 100 times through the years. The rates are usually cheap and they should be. This is discount golf. Fairways not so lush. I hit 3 perfect drives last week that landed in dirt in the middle of the fairway. The guy in the proshop was a total A Hole.

Staff was super friendly to me. I was working in the area and didn't have clubs -- course gave me clubs, tees, balls, and a cart for $33 to play twilight golf. Course is in decent shape -- challenging with a bit of water. Very pleasurable experience.

Don't be deceived by the yardage!! This is a challenging, fun course to play. Not a single flat fairway or green for 18 holes!! Water and sand in all the right places!

The ninth hole used to be really hard for me now I eat it up and love landing the golf ball right by the whole across 30 yards of water.

Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.

I recently went and played the small country club in eastern California, at the end of the summer. The Pro Keith Rader was extremely kind helping me find the place. The staff appeared to be a little grungy when I got there Larry a staff employee, while not the best looking gentleman was one of the nicest people there. The assistant a tall, upbeat young man always smileing had a few good pointers for my golf game. Though I don't remember his name I am sure we will see him further his golf career, he really seemed to know his stuff. Thanks to Cold Springs, and what an enjoyable day

Valencia Country Club
"Valencia CC -- one of the finest in the U.S."
Valencia CC is a gorgeous layout and wonderful design that only gets better with maturity. This Robert Trent Jones course is a truly great test of golf. Demanding par fives and threes along with several of the finest par fours I've ever played make for a challenging and wonderful round. The 66,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with wonderful restaurant, grill room, snack bar, and great pro shop make this one of the most beautiful settings there is to play a round of golf. The practice facilities are absolutely great. This is one of the top 100 golf courses in the United States.
