This course features tree-lined fairways that are narrow and tight. There is a lake that comes into play on hole #5, a 137-yard, par 3. The terrain varies from rolling to hilly, and some of the tees and greens are elevated. There are additional tees that can be used when playing an eighteen hole round.

| I am a very new golfer, I've only been at it for 4 weeks, but I attend Marion Military Institute, and this is a very nice course. THe superintendant is our coach, and he teaches us a lot about how each hole slopes and turns, which is nice, because he is a certified AAA instructor, and he knows our course better than anyone. ALl in all, its a very nice course, and presents a challenge to many golfers. The fairwats are seperated by trees, but dont let that fool you, you can still accidentally hit into another one. When you come off the first green, the second tee is behind the green, and the fiarway is perpendicular to #1, not parallel, thats #6. Its a common mistake, but you get used to it. The greens tend to slope all over the place, but they are nice and fast most days. All in all, nine very nice holes with raised tees and greens on a few holes. Highly recommended by me. |
