This course has two distinct nines. The front is flat and open with large greens. The back is rolling and tree lined. Extremely sloped greens make putting an extreme challenge. There are water hazards that come into play on four holes.

this golf course is horrible the greens where in the rough and the tees are dirt. It is horrible overall and their is no friendly service.

Olde Barnie is known by many to be an outstanding venue relative to courses at large and especially fine for a muncipal course. The slope and rating if anything in comparison to other venues appear to be fair to possibly lenient e.g. the sope might "correctly" be lower. I contribute the slope to be what it is relative to the contoured greens rather than the length or hazards. Management is extremely friendly and most competent. Try it you'll have an enjoyable experience.

Griffith Park Golf Courses - Wilson Course
"wonderful"
wonderful greens and fairways, every hole was definitely unique and fairly challenging. We were able to find an opening to play on the course on a busy day without making a reservation. Allowed us to bring a spectator, with a price of course. Played both courses and would definitely come back. The only set-back was...there wasn't a beverage cart in sight and the play was pretty slow, had to wait for other players. Overall experience was great and would recommend to others.

For a fast round of 9-holes this course is very enjoyable, and actually quite challenging. The greens are all in good condition throught the year, and so are the fairways. Par 3's range from 90-yards to 205-yards, and the par 4s are long enough where you can hit driver and/or 3-wood. Wonderful practice putting green surrounding water and driving range is also nice. For the price and convenience of walking on without a long wait, it's a winner in my book.

Liberty Country Club
"Great Condition and Layout"
This course has a beautiful layout and hole construction. Similar to the old "country club" style courses, this smaller operation club gets the job done with what must be a low budget because the course is just in outstanding shape. The bent-grass fairways look good all year round and maintain their grass even in the hot summer afternoons of August. They also had great deals available for play during the week and for people wanting to have an outing. I'm definitely going to play at the Liberty Country Club again.
