| This is a very good course when you only have time to play 9 holes. I joined 3 locals (two fireman and a customs agent) and had a great time. No problem getting on as a single. The fairways were well manicured. The greens were slow but well taken care of. Stay away from the greenside bunkers (nice sand but tough to get up and down). The par 5's are very reachable and only 1 par 3. Don't be fooled and think this course is a push over. Don't take a riding cart - very pleasant walk. Have Fun! |

Compared to Other Nassau County 9 Holes Courses, Jun 09, 2004

| As residents of Nassau County, we have a hand full of 9 Hole courses to choose from (MERRICK, CANTIAGUE PARK, EISENHOWER PARK, LIDO GOLF CLUB). Compared to other 9 Hole courses I really enjoy playing in Peninisula Golf Club for several reasons:
1)There isn't that much of a wait to Tee Off.
2)Some holes are very challenging.
3)There is a variety of holes with several par
4's and 5's.
4)It is maintained very well.
5)I LOVE playing the Greens of Peninsula Golf Club.
Overall I enjoy playing here, what bothers me is that most holes have a very narrow fairway. Every hole feels as though there on top of each other. Dont be suprise to see some one hit their ball from your fairway b/c they happend to slice the ball. |
