The greens are somewhat flat. Water comes into play on eleven holes, including #18, a 545-yard, par 5, which has a small pond to the left of the fairway and one tucked in front of the green. The pride and joy of the course is their rough which is a hellish fescue combination. There are a number of mature trees around the course, as well as a waterfall. Wildlife seen at the course includes deer, geese and raccoons. The course was rated the ninth most challenging course out of twenty in the Akron/Stark County by the "Akron Beacon Journal."

"Fun, yet challenging for any level golfer..."
The course will grow on you. The first time I played it, the course kicked my hind-parts. Every hole has a different look and challenge. The fairways and greens are always in great shape, even though they don't overseed in the cold months. Because the course sits high, even though it was built on wetlands, there is always wind, and therefore a challenge. The course will beckon you back time and again. Very nice play and good staff.

"What a golf course should be."
I have played this private course 5-6 times since 1992 and have enjoyed it every time. Recently I played as a guest in a small tournament and the course was in excellent condition. There are 8 other courses in this retirement community, several owned and managed by large course management groups, but they are not in the same class as this one as far as quality is concerned. There are few if any divots on the greens, all players seem to be very conscious of divot repair on the entire course, including the rough, facilities are clean and fresh, clubhouse is pleasant and modern and the staff is great. I have just joined and am thrilled to death with a life-time membership to look forward to!
