This course was built on rolling terrain and features many pine trees lining the fairways that can affect your shots. The most difficult hole is #2, a 552-yard, par 5, requiring an uphill approach shot to a well-bunkered green. Water hazards come into play on nine holes.

Great golf, Nov 01, 2004

I haven't found a better golf course for the money than Hickory Knob. Course is challenging and well-cared for and the staff is very helpful. Memorable holes are #3 - a par 3 with a great view of the lake behind and #18 which demands a long carry across the lake. Water is the predominant feature since it lies along Strom Thurmand lake. I loved the course!

"Paradise Review"
An above average course with smaller greens. Some elavation changes but nothing major. Greens are true but not very fast. A chipper and pitchers dream. A few shortish par 4's that will tease the big dogs but look out for the hidden teeth. A challenge for sure but fun.

Found course to be very challenging. Greens were the best I have ever played on. Some areas on course under repair with new irrigation system, but that will only improve the fairways. Look forward to playing the course in the future.

Pine Creek Golf Course
"Golfing guru makes spectacular analysis"
There are too many geese deficating on the fairways. Plus I found there to be only one hole per green. This proves to be much too challenging for novice golfers such as myself. Multiple holes and flags on each green would be a great improvement to your facility. Are the ponds really necessary? By filling them in with dirt it would provide golfers with more hitting surfaces. One tree per hole will suffice, too many trees takes the fun out of the game. Another suggestion would be to eliminate ob and thin all grass. Sand was much too sandy and loose. Doing away with the sand would draw more golfers with superior skills such as myself.

Sycamore Springs Golf Course
"Exceptional Public Course"
The course is very well maintained, I've never experienced a public course that was in such great shape. The course has beautiful scenery and is worth playing if you are a competitive golfer.
