There are twenty-seven holes on this facility, which are played as one eighteen hole course, the Blue Course, and a nine hole course, the Red Course. Overall, the terrain is flat. Most of the tees and greens are elevated on both courses. The grass is very well-conditioned and lush over the entire layout. The greens are undulating and average-sized, except on the Red Course, where the greens are smaller. There is a greater premium on iron shots on the Red Course. There are thirteen ponds on the Red Course. The signature hole on the Blue Course is #11, a 200-yard, par 3, which has an island green, a creek that runs in front of the green and to the left, as well as a pond and large bunker on the right. The signature hole on the Red Course is #5, a 271-yard, par 4, which has water in front and to the right of the green. This is a classic risk/reward hole. Big hitters may be able to reach the green from the tee, if not, prepare to roll up your pant legs.

new yet challenging course, Jun 20, 2005
reviewer: Andy Helgeland from Algonquin, IL
this course for beeing relativley new is actually a pretty challenging round. i am surprised when we pulled in i figured the trees and shrubs wouldnt have had enough time to grow to put that extra challenge into my round, the trees seemed to be very well placed on dog legs to prevent anyne from cutting the corner as opposed to playing teh fade or draw, same on the longer par 4's. the only complaint i have is with the location and elevation of the Blue tees. they were not elevated a little over the white tees i felt as if i was hitting out of a pit at times.

Good course for the family, Jan 21, 2005
reviewer: Anonymous from Illinois
Great course lay out. Hook or slice, you are never in too much trouble. The course is set up so the entire family can enjoy golf. The different tee settings make it possible for a family of different skill levels to score well. The par 3 11th hole is a challenge with water on all sides. The view from the elevated 18th white tee box makes for of the most beautiful holes in the county. The staff is friendly, the driving range is real grass (no mats), the pro shop contains virtually anything you need. The course could improve with better maintenance. Greens could use more TLC, and the traps could use more sand.
