There are twenty-seven holes on this facility, which are played as one eighteen hole course, the Blue Course, and a nine hole course, the Red Course. Overall, the terrain is flat. Most of the tees and greens are elevated on both courses. The grass is very well-conditioned and lush over the entire layout. The greens are undulating and average-sized, except on the Red Course, where the greens are smaller. There is a greater premium on iron shots on the Red Course. There are thirteen ponds on the Red Course. The signature hole on the Blue Course is #11, a 200-yard, par 3, which has an island green, a creek that runs in front of the green and to the left, as well as a pond and large bunker on the right. The signature hole on the Red Course is #5, a 271-yard, par 4, which has water in front and to the right of the green. This is a classic risk/reward hole. Big hitters may be able to reach the green from the tee, if not, prepare to roll up your pant legs.

Edgewood Country Club
"Traditional Donald Ross layout"
Edgewood is a graceful example of a Donald Ross design, with elevated, contoured and fast greens. The traditional, tree lined layout is picturesqe and plays longer than its listed length. Par 4s #2 and #18 are each 420 yard gems. Three of the Par 5s are reachable with two long shots. 5-8 on the front is where the golf course really tests you. The course is always in good condition, and despite its hills, is a good walking course with a solid caddy program.

Stone Oak Country Club
"A beautiful midwest course worth playing"
This course looks timid on paper but watch out on the front nine. A couple of par 5's can really fool you by their degree of difficulty and a snowman is not uncommon on #6. The course is usually in immaculate shape with more hills on the back 9 that you would expect. The shortest par 3 I've ever played, #16 can be tricky even with the softest loft wedge. Overall this coursees beauty is in the top 10 in northwest ohio, and it is great fun to play given that you can find a member to take you out and enjoy it.

Northeast Harbor Golf Club
"Seasonal member"
NEHGC is on the pleasant island of Mt.Desert in Downeast Maine. I live in Seal Harbor 6 mos. a yr and join the club as a seasonal member. The play is $255 and excludes June 26 thru Sept 6. It is by far the best deal on MDI and throughout the downeast region. The course is never crowded, and you can expect the service in the pro shop to be excellent. Beautifully maintained greens and fairways with the backdrop of surrounding mtns. and countryside make this course a well kept secret on busy MDI. Make a tee time after Sept. 30 to enjoy incredible foliage and ideal temperatures.

Hillcrest Country Club
"Miniature Southern Hills"
Hillcrest is an old (built 1926), established, traditional golf course. Originally designed by Perry Maxwell (Southern Hills, Prairie Dunes, Colonial), it was updated in 1980 by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. The course features tree-lined fairways, lots of doglegs, and difficult small greens. It has hosted numerous USGA Qualifiers, an NCAA regional, numerous OGA state amateur events. While short in length, it plays longer because of the doglegs and elevation changes. Course record is 65 and is held by Justin Leonard and several others. This is an excellent golf course that you will want to play again.
