This mountainous eighteen hole course features large, undulating greens and tree-lined fairways. Located on the skirts of the Pine Mountain Ridge, there are elevation changes aplenty. The front nine holes on this course are not as mountainous as the back nine. Water, in the form of lakes, comes into play on a handful of holes. Those who have played this course continue to remark on its good condition and stunning beauty.

This course is not what it used to be. The bent grass greens were killed & replaced with bermuda. The course has been closed more than it's been open the last 5 years. New owners do not care for the homeowners at all. Unstable at best.

Incredibly Great Course, Dec 28, 2004 |

Hickory Ridge is a very AWESOME course. It is the most mountainous course I believe I have ever played. Great variety of holes. It is challenging for both the beginner and the experienced player. The course is very well maintained, unsusual for such a hilly course. On some holes you can find incredible vistas and see for miles. Also, I believe it was designed by one of Robert Trent Jones's sons. Plus, they have some great deals on houses with a great view. (The houses don't come into play; they also are rarely seen.)

Hickory Ridge is a beautiful natural course. It is very challenging. Every time I have played there, I have seen deer and/or wild turkeys. The last weekend I played there, 6/11/04, the greens were in excellent shape! This course is a great bang for your buck!

This is by far the most scenic course in middle georgia. During the week this course can be played for $20 w/ coupon, for that price, theirs not a golf course within one hundred miles that can compete value wise. Hickory Ridge has some of the best greens in the state and is well worth a visit.
