I was looking for golf courses in Alamance County, NC and much to my surprise found Arrowhead listed. This course closed down about 3 years ago.

This course also closed last year (2004) and will become a development including housing and a shopping center in the near future.

The dunes is possibly the best course for the money in the entire state! I give the course five stars due to its all around duffer enjoyment. The course itself allows for not just a fun but also a challenging round. The beauty of such a course in such a desolate location is unbelievable, as is the staff. "Challenge"
The fairways here are nice, the greens protect the course and make it extraordinarily challenging. It doesn't play long but you have to be a good iron player to shoot anywhere in the 70's.
