2006 Renovations Raise the Level of Play at MLCC, Jul 20, 2006

Extensive renovations to the entire course have made the MLCC more interesting, and more difficult. The addition of numerous mounds, strategy placed bunkers, and a giant lake put MLCC in the major league of area courses. If you haven't played here recently, you are in for a pleasant surprise. Did I mention the new chef and his wonderful cuisine? A traditional golf club for the traditional golfer.

Meadow Woods Golf Club
"Meadow Woods"
Meadow Woods is a nice course, althought not the best I have ever played on. The fairways are narrow due to the fact that it is located in a small neighborhood. The Par 4 13th should be pretty much played as a par 5 unless you can hit the long ball really well, or like to loose some balls. The fairways were also pretty dry as was the rest of the course. Fast greens make even the easy puts challenging.

Great old style golf course that allows you to use every singe club in your bag.Greens run about a 12 in mid season. If you ever get the chance to play this super private course take advantage of it.

Texas National Golf Club
"Texas National is a great value."
This is a great course kept in extremely good shape. It is a little far out from Houston but if you live anywhere on the north side, it's well worth the drive. It's inexpensive and not crowded, especially on weekdays. The greens are in very good shape and the course is challenging without being a killer.
