This demanding course was carved out of the hills of Kettle Moraine. Water hazards come into play on at least nine holes. There are many sand bunkers protecting the course's small, undulating greens, and the breathtaking views of the countryside make for an enjoyable and relaxing round of golf.

What could I possibly tell you that would convince you to take a whack at this course? Well, for one thing...For the past 3 years I've made it my season "opener" and am always amazed at how quickly the grounds crew here help mother nature do her thing. The course itself is relatively flat but that doesen't detract from the frustrations that you can encounter if you decide to make an errant shot from any of the tee boxes. It is by far one of the most challenging of intermediate courses in Waukesha County and will task golfers of every level. The pro shop people know their stuff & have many items on display (including demo drivers, irons & wedges for you to take on the course) .. A great course at a great price set on the foot of the Kettle Moraine..

Wanaki was quite a surprising experience for me..It's relatively flat but has plenty of trouble around the supremely maintained greens.. Water abounds; although not always evident and you'll find yourself doing alot of shot shaping..The trees are in full fall fashion as I first played the course just after Oct 1st but I will make it a point to keep Wanaki high on my list of superior places to play
