This very scenic course has some rolling terrain that can cause uneven lies, but most of the terrain is flat. The fairways are mostly wide open, and there are only a few sand bunkers. The greens are average-sized and some of them are undulating. There are ponds and creeks that come into play on five holes. The most challenging hole is #3, a 458-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot up a slight dogleg left fairway with a large cedar tree in the middle, and an approach shot that must be hit over or around the tree to one of the smaller greens on the course. You will need to bring a valid driver's license to enter the base.

It is a good golf course for an average or beginning golfer like myself. If you have a 200-250 yard drive this course will be easy.

I am about a 15 handicap and I play this course quite often. It is challenging for the average golfer like myself. The length of the fairways put a premium on long drivers but the width also gives some relief for the hooks and slices. Small greens but not many hazards to contend with.

this course puts a premium on good shotmaking. the fairway usually plays very easily, while shots that get off to the sides and under the trees really punish players where the lies can be uneven and difficult to make an easy shot to the green. the greens are small and unprotected, giving players the opportunity to recover from shots that miss by a few feet.
