This course has many rolling hills that will cause uneven lies, and some holes playing into valleys, so expect some elevation changes. Water hazards (ponds) come into play on eight holes. Trees and shrubbery line most of the fairways and frame some of the greens. Substantial green fee discounts are available during the spring and summer months; please contact the pro shop for more information.

Riverview is the perfect practice course when you don't have time for 18. It's long enough to be interesting and offers enough challenges to allow practice on all aspects of your game. The course has good greens, challenging sand traps and water hazards you can't see--until its too late. Its also fun to play.

"Best Kept Secret In Central VA"
Of all the courses I have played through out VA I would have to say this is one of the best kept secrets in Virginia. The greens are very fast but yet they hold very well. The vista's of the mountains on the back nine are breath taking. The #17 hole could one day be as comparable to one of the holes at Augusta or the TPC Sawgrass. Its and old club with alot of history set up in a beautiful historic town! If you can get your self and invitation to play it I would highly recommend it. Keep your head down and let it rip. Bill P.

Found this course a real enjoyment to play. The greens are fairly fast and challenging. Course was not overly difficult to walk. The layout was good. The back nine (9) has two par 5's back to back that will separate the 'men from the boys'. I played several days in a row and was accepted by the Men's club like a member. Looking forward to playing this course again this summer. Don't let its apperance fool you. This course is not flat..Play good course management.
