Some of the fairways on this course are fairly wide and mounded, while others are very narrow and lined by pine trees. There are lakes that come into play on five holes. Some of the greens are elevated, and all the greens are very fast. The back nine was added in 1991.

Love the course, May 25, 2005

I have played this course for several years. The layout is challenging. The course condition is consistantly good. April, May and June are exceptional. They recently added fairway water and know how to take care of the course. The greens are moderate speed and consistant. There are several blind holes and greens that make you think. The only think I don't like about the course is that the bunkers are not consistant and some don't have sand.

This place is a must see. Nice greens cause i used to cut them in 1984. Excellent scenery and beautiful grounds. It is a great family owned golf couse. Well known throughout Chicago as the best kept secret.

Hyde Park Golf Club
"Wide Open Drive"
Fairly well kept course, the fairways are wide open for the most psrt, so if you lose your new Titlest, its your fault...There are a few water hazards in challengable spots. Bunkers are all easily avoidable. This is actually a challenging course, but one that wont drive you nuts with every stroke. Its also a pretty good course for those who arent, Arnold Palmer. You have to know your game, but it allows for mistakes, without costing you 3 strokes. The trees are beautiful, and the wildlife around the course adds to the experience. Its nice to find a place like this tucked among the city, and tall radio towers, which are right in the middle of the course, between holes nine and ten, which is the primary problem spot for this course. Its priced right, and a good challenge for the money.

Sand Ridge Golf Club
"Best of Ohio"
Sand Ridge is one of the best golf courses in the country. Even though greens are not all that fast they are always in perfect condition at all times of the year and the fairways are some of the best i have ever played from. The caddie program has some of the best and friendliest caddies in the nation.
