greens were in great shape last summer (which is no small feat in Maine). Employees are very friendly and don't make the one time or occasional player seem unwelcome next to the members.

I have a membership at Oakdale and let me tell you, it's worth it. The courses rolling hills and steep inclines make it a tough challenge. The bunkers and the water hazards are also huge barriers to overcome on this course. You can't beat the price either. My membership paid for itself in a matter of weeks and after that I was practically playing for free. I strongly advise anyone that wants an enjoyable round of golf to check out Oakdale Country Club.

Twin Hills Golf Course
"Well conditioned and fun to play"
I have a 6 cap and play all the courses in our area. I belong to a private club but still enjoy a round of golf at Twin Hills. The course is short for most big hitters, but still has plenty of trouble. You will find beautiful fairways and greens throughout the year. The speed of play will be around 4 hours for 18. I don't think there are too many courses that have the quality of golf and conditions that Twin Hills offers for the price. It is well worth the time to play here.

This is where I learned to play 18 holes. That being said, here's pros and cons: PROs: carts in decent shape, decent greens, challenging hilly course w/water obstacles, pro shop has wood stove and good hot dogs! Affordable alternative to other local courses CONS: no sand to be found on the property (could be a pro...), no driving or chipping area, cart paths mimick Cabarrus county backroads(disrepair),pro shop reminds me of a musty old general store but less merchandise, lots of backyards in which to hit your drives...

I hope everyone who thinks they have mastered the game of golf gets a chance to play this course. this course will eat you up if you don't play it correctly. the view is great and the price is right if your looking to save a buck. the course during the rainy season is always in premium condition.
