Good for the short game, Apr 11, 2005

Great for beginners, kids, and people who need to work on their short game. If you've got an hour to kill, you can play this short course. Good practice for the short game. Longest hole is 120 yards. I take an 8 and 9 iron, wedges, and my putter. Greens were very, very slow, they needed mowing desperately, but over all I took my six year old son and we had a great time.

Cedar Creek Golf Club
"A course of challenge and beauty"
If you are looking for a track that will provide you the challenges of all the natural elements of the game of golf, Cedar Creek will do that. With it's bunkers, woods, length, rolling greens, water hazzards and blind shots. I have played this course at least a dozen times and I cannot a remember a time where I felt like I was being pushed by a group behind me or that I had to push a group ahead of me. It is easy to get frustrated with the challenge of the course, but you can maintain a good rhythem because of the pace of play. This track is also affordable. I have played many of the courses in Aiken County including the private courses and I haven't found any difference in the quality of this course compared to the private clubs. The staff are also very friendly.

this course has ndergone a complete renovation in the last three years, including new greens and tee boxes, drainage and irrigation unpgrades and a beautiful club house. Not the same course I played five years ago, but still friendly and informal

If your not driving the ball in the fairways, your gonna have problems. The rough can get long during the summer, and not very often will you have a straight putt. The course isnt very long but you must know where to put your tee shot. If your playing well you can shot low, if your not, spend some time on the range.
