This busy municipal facility offers a regulation eighteen hole course and a nine hole regulation course. The grounds crew works very hard to keep the courses in great condition. The fairways on both courses are mostly flat, but some hills can cause uneven lies. The Currie East Course features a river flowing through it that comes into play on four holes. The greens vary in size and are hard to read. The Currie West Course has a couple of ponds coming into play on three holes. The undulating greens are the most challenging part of this course.

Currie Golf Course, May 17, 2004

Currie golf course just finished construction of a new 18-hole course. There are no roads, houses, or other distractions when you are playing the West course, and most of the East. It does have a problem with flooding when it rains a lot. And it drys out when there is no rain. You can't beat the price, especially if you walk. But it is a long walk. And there can be large crowds at times.
