This links-style course was built on predominantly flat terrain. The fairways are fairly wide with most being tree lined. Water hazards come into play on eight holes, and there are sand bunkers protecting most of the greens. The greens are fairly large, undulating and generally fast. The signature hole is #10, a 175-yard, par 3, which plays to an island green. Walking is permitted after 2 PM on weekends.

This is a fun course to play once in a while. The weekend summer rates are a bit excessive. There are other nicer tracks around in the same price range. Worth playing once. Too many nice cheaper courses to come here often.

Not liked as well by me as by some others, Jul 28, 2004

This is supposed to be one of the more "up scale" courses in the surrounding area. But I don't see it that way. It's advertised as a links course, but it really is more like a traditional course in my opinion. I don't think the course it that visualy appealing, and with new housing construction around the course, right now it's in bad shape on a couple of holes. Green fees are higher than at several other local courses that are just as good as this course. My opinion? Don't go out of your way for this course. But if you do play it, you will find it fairly challanging.

Phenomenal Greens and Fantastic Scenery, Jun 14, 2004

Duckers Lake is a unique course that I had the privelage to play recently. The greens are phenomenal and for the price I don't think there is a better value anywhere in Central Kentucky.
