This club added a back nine in fall of 1997, making this a regulation eighteen hole course. It features trees lining the fairways and a lake that comes into play on three holes. In addition, out-of-bounds stakes line four holes, so shot accuracy is essential. New ownership took over this club in February, 1996.

We have played Pine Hills a few times now and the course continues to keep us on our toes. The back nine is challenging and the play in normaly fast.

Pines Municipal Golf Course, The
"Tough for it's size"
I'm origianally from Toccoa and have played this golf course many many times. While only a 9 hole course, it is worth the money to play it. It is far less expensive than most golf corses and offers real challenges for even experienced golfers. The terrain is extremely hilly and almost every hole has an extreme change in elavation. The green's are extremely small and very very fast. During the summer the fairways and greens are fairly well manicured although winter play tends to be a little harder on some holes due to a harder fairways from less moisture. Fairways are extemely tight with hundreds of opportunities to lose balls in pine forests and a courseside lake on the last two holes. Overall, not an allstar course but for a quick, challenging, and inexpensive round well worth the time.
