This old, traditional-style course was built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies. "Dallas Morning News" rated this course as the 17th best nine hole course in the State of Texas. Water hazards come into play on four holes, but there are only a couple of sand bunkers on the course. Some of the fairways are tree lined, and all of them are bordered by a standard cut of rough. The greens are slightly sloped and fast. Locals say that these greens are the best in East Texas. This club doesn't have a driving range, but it does provide a practice area for warming up.

Best and Friendliest Country Club, Apr 10, 2009
reviewer: Gayle Crim from Van, Texas
My husband recently joined this club and by far it is one of the best in my opinion. The people are very Texas friendly, very helpful, not snobbish like some Country Clubbers that seem to feel the need to over valuate their importance. Food is sooo good. Great service at all times. They know how to run a successful and fun club. Kudos to the directors and staff, keep up the good work.

Nice Course, but..., Aug 19, 2008
reviewer: Veronica Shabadu from Dallas, TX
The golf course is nice, but the backwoods good ol' boy mentality of the management and "higher ups" is a major issue with what could be an exceptional course. They could also work on the dress code. I don't think "no tank tops or cut-Offs" really gives you that country club feel. If you're going to call yourself a county club, my advice is to act like one. I wouldn't join.

Mineola Country Club, Mar 12, 2007
reviewer: Glenn Campbell from Hideaway
This is a very challenging little course. Lots of elevated greens or tees. Accuracy is pretty important. Lots of fun to play. Well maintained greens.

Best 9 hole Course Around These Parts, Feb 24, 2004
reviewer: Chase Mcdougald from Mineola, TX USA
The mineola golf course is one of the best 9 hole courses that I have ever played here in east texas and highly recommend that avid golfers like myself go out and play this beautiful course. This course is also very inexpensive and hardly ever crowded.
