This is a wonderful course located in a valley setting. "Golf Digest" rated this course as the 7th "Best Public Course" in the state for 1996. There are beautiful trees, large greens, and bunkers throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on eight holes. The greens are slightly sloped, and the fairways are average width.

A Great Day of Golf, Sep 28, 2010

From our arrival to our departure we were treated with great hospitality and courtesy. We were made to feel at home by the pro shop staff, the staff in resturuant and all the greens staff. The course was challenging and forgiving. It was in great shape even with the time of year and all the rain. It is a course we will recommend to our friends and return for another round.

Souris is a great course from beginners to advanced players. It has a great elevation challenges and forgiving fairways.

I haven't played here in a few years so I was very pleasently surprised to find the course in super shape. The layout is good with a few short par 4's and a few par 3's that require an acurate tee ball. The people were wonderful and our group is looking forward to our return trip this summer.

Wynstone Golf Club

Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.
