This resort has two pubic courses. The Fox Creek Course is made up of three nine hole courses called the Blue, Red and White courses. These three nines are combined to make three eighteen hole courses. The National Course is a championship eighteen hole course. The Fox Creek Course has many rolling hills and tree-lined fairways. However, it affords generous landing areas in the fairways, but also features water hazards coming into play on several holes. The National Course has plenty of water hazards as well, but no trees. This course was built following the Scottish-links design, featuring sculptured and shaped mounds, grassy dunes and natural hazards.

National Championship Links Course is One of the Best!, Apr 23, 2004

The National Championship Links Course at Fox HIlls Resort is yet by far one of the most challenging courses I have played in the states. It featured doubled greends, sculpted mounds which is not seem much anymore, water hazards and no trees. On a mild day it is accessable for the modern golfer, but when the wind picks up it is like playing a Scottish course. Just wonderful!

Wynstone Golf Club

Wynstone is situated on a topographically diverse landscape, unbecoming of many Chicagoland golf venues. It has abundant wildlife which adds to the course's balance between a parkland and wetland. Wynstone also offers a unique challenge for any golfer. Not only is the golf course difficult at 7,000+ yards, but also presents a challenge to any comers at 6,500. Both birdies and bogies are easily found throughout the track. Finally, the course is maintained hard and fast. Fairways and greens are firm which requires and rewards shotmaking.

"Great Learning Course"
A very fair, playable course. Gives the novice an opportunity to try their skills without extreme risk. It also will challenge the low handicap golfer with it's terrain and hazard placement. The par 5's are scattered on the course so as to challenge you at the most critical times. Holes 8 through 12 will leave you feeling as though you've run a marathon only to have very delicate par 3's ahead.
