This is a well-maintained public course. The fairways are generous, and the large greens are slightly sloped. There are lakes and creeks that come into play on several holes. The terrain is hilly, but is not too difficult to walk. Carts are mandatory on weekends and holidays before noon.

Just about right, Oct 05, 2009

I have only played this course twice and am new to the MD area but this course is challenging for the average golfer. Course is very well maintained and many of the holes create the need for you to choose your club carefully!

Not Bent, Mar 30, 2004
This course does not have bent grass fairways, they are rye. They are similar grasses, and your ball still sits up nice. Play is slow, but the course is well maintained.

Great, seemingly retrospective of the old country couses, Feb 26, 2004
Having played enterprise for a number of years, it never seems to disappoint. It is fair in design from tee to green. Changes in elevation on many of the holes makes for interesting and captivating shots (keep your head down). Starting out you pass the 18th green heading to the first tee. As you approach the tee you will see a beautiful 18th century mansion, once owned by Captain Newton White, the first Captain of the USS Enterprise. On both the 1st and 10th tees, you will tee off next to this this historic landmark. Customer service is a little better than average for a municipal course. The grounds crew keeps even the clubhouse looking good with perennials and other quality landscape features. Practice facilities, although spread out on the grounds are large. A great value play.
