This course was designed on rolling terrain and features fifty-five feet of elevation change. The front nine is relatively open, while the back nine was carved out of a wooded area. The greens average 3,000-square feet in size. The signature hole is #6, a 400-yard, par 4, requiring a straight tee shot downhill to a narrow fairway with a landing area that is 100 feet in width. no irrigation and tough to see, Jun 09, 2004

Very dry when I played it, so the clover and weeds and hard fairways were in abundance. This course is newer and seems to have been carved out of pasture land without much re-seeding so it's difficult to tell the shape of the holes from many of the tee boxes. I would give a little better rating if the cost to play had been indicative of the course condition. The course has potential to have a lot of character, but only time will tell when it comes around. Played it in 2003...since I'm not a local to the area I will not reconsider playing here for many years.

"Worth the trip"
This course is easily the best course I have played. It's on a par with Blackwolf Run and the other Kohler courses at a fraction of the price. This course has a spectacular setting. It winds up and around Iron Mountain, and is a marvel of course design. Despite the elevation changes, only one hole plays uphill. The holes are cut out of the mountain side and winding cart paths take you to the next level, and hole, until you reach numbers 9 and 17, both of which play straight downhill (as does 18, a 600 yard par five with 3 terraced fairways). The grooming is immaculate and each hole is separated from the others by woods or water. Even on a busy day it feels like you're the only golfers on the course. The staff is friendly and efficient and the course is nicely rangered. As you play the course, you will marvel both at the quality of the experience and the incredible engineering required during construction. Rates have been in the $50-60 range for the past several years and its the best golf bargain you can find. This is a course you could play every day and it would remain interesting. The fairways and greens compare with any PGA site. This is one not to miss.

"Rancho review"
A medium difficult course with variable slopes,and hill sides with a different lie angle on nearly every shot. Large undulating greens with good speed. The greens are near perfect right now but that doesn't mean they're a push over. Making it one the green is only the start. A challenge.

Creekwood Golf Club
"Truest Greens Anywhere"
The greens at creekwood are the truest, most consistent of any in the area. Despite the relative shortness of the course, position is critical. You cannot "muscle" this course into submission. The staff is friendly and efficient and keeps play moving. Plenty of practice area.
