This course is a true Donald Ross Design, where the greens are quite fast and the rough is long. The fairways are cut short and are not wide, extremely tight with sharp doglegs and are tree lined. There is some water that comes into play. The signature holes are #5 and #6. The terrain is semi-rolling and the par 3 greens are well protected, with high mounds. The ladies' par is actually 74.

Be sure to plan your second shot just before striking the tee shot...this tree lined tight fairway course won't allow a clear shot at the green without doing so. For the most part, once you hit the fairway with your tee shot, the approaches are not impeded...large mature trees line the fairways and hinder any short cut ideas you might have. The pro staff is very cordial and helpful...a well kept Southeast Michigan secret!

"Good course for the money."
Played this course a couple of times last visit to area. Was always use to paying $70 plus at other courses. Was surprised and enjoyed this course. It just goes to show that you don't have to spend big bucks to enjoy a round of golf. Will be playing this course again when I come down this spring.

Quail Ridge Golf Course
"Great Learning Course"
A very fair, playable course. Gives the novice an opportunity to try their skills without extreme risk. It also will challenge the low handicap golfer with it's terrain and hazard placement. The par 5's are scattered on the course so as to challenge you at the most critical times. Holes 8 through 12 will leave you feeling as though you've run a marathon only to have very delicate par 3's ahead.

Springfield Golf Club
"Dakota's Pebble Beach"
One would hardly expect to find a gem like the Springfield Golf Club in this rural setting in an agricultural state such as South Dakota. This course demands your best game with keeping the ball in the fairway a premium. Although not a long course, the long hitter does not have a major advantage. Tree-lined fairways are expertly maintained and the greens are challenging. All of this quality golf is accompanied by some of the most beautiful scenery in the state. The course is built on bluffs overlooking Lewis and Clark Lake and the view from every tee is extraordinary. This wonderful nine hole golf course has earned the right to be called Dakota's Pebble Beach.

Greystone Golf Club
"Best in the Tri-County Area"
Greystone Golf Club has been a home course to me for over six years. I have been impressed by its development and maturity over this time. The lay-out of the course is phenominal. Within a 20 mile radius of the club there are countless places to play, and Greystone is by far the most beautiful and challanging of them all. I have played alot of golf in South-East Michigan, this includeds public and private clubs, and Greystone is and always will be my #1 place to play. The motto is "The Best Finish In Michigan Golf", and how true it is. Why not 5 stars? Nothings perfect!
