This course is touted as one of the most unique par 3 layouts in Michigan. The course is very upscale in its playability and condition. The undulating greens are large, averaging 5,300 square feet. The fairways are mostly open, with the exception of two holes, which have groves of mature pines standing up to eighty feet high. Two large ponds, encompassing over three acres, come into play on five holes. The beauty of the ponds is exemplified on hole #8, where on a clear day the image of the surrounding mountains is reflected in the lake, making it difficult to determine where the mountains begin and end. The signature hole is #9, a 146-yard, par 3, featuring a long tee box and a pond just past the tee area. Mounding on the left gives this hole a distinctive Scottish look. The ample green spans 6,300 square feet on this hole.
