The designer of this course took full advantage of the region's natural assets. Distinctive mature pines line fairways and the course is abundant with elevation changes. The layout includes the meandering Old River. The course offers the discerning golfer a true test of golfing skill, with a masterful blend of water hazards and bunkers, along with smooth greens. Hole #18, a 429-yard, par 4, is featured as the course's signature hole, which is best described as playing Doral's #18 "backwards," from green to tee. Ponds border the green rather than sand bunkers at Doral.

| I've played this course nearly every week for 2 years, and it's always a challenge. If you are a first-timer here, find a reguilar to play with, you need to place nearly every shot, tee to green. When in doubt, the best advice off the tee is to play to the 150 marker. This course features probably the three toughest finishing holes I've seen on a golf course. 16 is a tough par four, the second shot being the key to doing well; 17 is a long par 5 with water on both sides for the tee shot (stay to the right side of the fairway on the second shot to get a good angle to the green); and 18 features a very narrow domed fairway - long or short is wet, and it's easy to do both. Don't greedy on this course and you'll do well. It's a training course for the discipline of course management. |

| This golf course is a very well kept secret. With elevated tees and rolling fairways that are bordered by trees it is a remarkable course. The fairways can be a lttle too wet and winter rules apply. Watch your ball during the fall, it can hide under leaves on the fairway. I like the first hole with the elevated tee box. |
