This course, which opened its back nine in the summer of 1997, is very golfer-friendly because it is of medium length and generous fairways. It's the perfect course for those just taking up golf, but challenging for the experienced players. The signature hole is #14, a 540-yard, par 5, because of its picturesque mountain view. The back nine holes are part of a mountain design with the playing area carved out of the woods. The toughest hole is #14, a 550-yard, par 5, featuring a split fairway offering the chance to go for the green in two over an exposed rocky bluff, or making an accurate lay-up shot. This nine also features numerous mounds and small, contoured greens. Since golfers must ride in a cart on the weekends, the cart is included in the price of green fee. Several discount cards are accepted.

I have played this course several times. I used to live about 15 miles away and had several other places to play and would choose this one before the others. Back 9 is amazing.... Couldn't believe the price....

Well maintained and designed. Enjoyed the 14th hole even with a bogey. Very neat hole.

One of the best golf courses in the country. Very well balanced holes. equal amounts of doglegs left and right. Lengths vary so that almost every club in the bag is used. The rough is three feet tall if you miss the fairways. Very tough but very fair. Just simply one of the best in the USA.

Lakeview Resort - Lakeview Course
"I LOVE LAKEVIEW"
I have beaten my husband 4 out of 5 times we have played there! He taught me how to play when we got married 13 years ago. He had played golf for over 24 years before he met me. I was invited to play in the WV tri-state open at Preston country club and was my caddie. My best round at Lakeview was last year (2003) and had a 92 on the Lakeview course; we live in Pittsburgh and try to play Lakeview at least 4 times a year. My favorite hole is number 1 as I have birdied it several times.
