This course was built on mildly-rolling farmland and is highlighted by lakes and creeks running throughout the design. Although the terrain is fairly level, there are several hills that provide an occasional uneven lie. The conservative fairways play to ample putting surfaces, and their extreme undulation adds an additional challenge. The finishing hole, a 300-yard, par 4, offers a good risk-reward opportunity. With the tee and green located on opposite ends of a lake, you can elect to lay up, or try to reach it off the tee.

This is a great course. Well taken care of, exceptional friendly workers, and fantastic golf! There is trouble on this course. Water can come into play, OB is evident on numerous holes. A golfer must play smart in order to shoot low. Great holes though. I wouldn't say it's "short," playing from the golf tees can be lengthy to an extent. I can't wait to go back!

The course is very short (6,500 yds from the blue tees and 6,900 from the gold). The greens were in great shape (recently held the Pepsi Shoot-Out). The course is favorable to shooting a low score as there are seven par 4's under 390 yds including two that are easily driveable at 291 severly downhill and 278 over water. The par three's have very little in terms of danger off the tee and are relatively mild. The trick to shooting low is playing the right clubs to compensate for elevation changes from tee to green and putting your approach in a spot below the hole. The course has very little risk involved and very high rewards. Not a wonder Tim Fish could shoot nine shots below his stroke average for the year. The course is set up to score low. No deep rough to speak of and few hazards.

Buy the way, 66 is not the course record, 64 is though. The course is not that hard, wide open, big greens, soft greens, Go play and enjoy the average managment.

this is a great course. not too many trees, fairly open, but a nice country golf course with exceptional cart paths. the 18th is one of my favorite holes ever, and i've played victoria national, the legends, prarie view, and even phil harris. i hold the course record at country oaks, a 66 shot in the first round of the cocacola classic last summer. my name is tim fish. go beat 66.
