This course has large, undulating greens protected by sand bunkers. There are three ponds that occasionally come into play. The course was built on rolling terrain, so expect some uneven lies. The fairways are wide and some are tree lined.

| The course is very well maintained. The course is tight at times but presents a challange. If your're able to get the opportunity to play there don't miss it. |

| Bel-Wood Country Club is nestled in a woodsy remote area northeast of Cincinnati just minutes away from Kings Island Amusement Park and The Beach Water Park. An affordable private club, Bel-Wood has plush fairways, playable rough, properly maintained traps and consistent greens. The front nine is longer than the back and makes walking realistic for the 50+ crowd (par 36). The back nine is more hilly, but shorter (par 34). There is avoidable trouble on most holes, with a risk-reward factor on a few. Water can come into play on 6 holes. Like nearby Golf Center at Kings Island, this course says: "You get what you see". The top handicap holes add the dimension of a degree of tightness with distance. Par threes are beatable for an above average golfer, while the par fives are relatively long or play steeply uphill. The courses signature hole lies in the midst of scenic beauty with an obvious risk/reward challenge. The staff is warm and accommodating. The food is typically tasty and affordable. This course is well worth a look. I came away anxious to go back SOON. |
