This well-maintained course switched its front and back nines during 1998. The layout features tree-lined fairways and small greens. Overall, water hazards come into play on eleven holes. The signature hole is #14, a 570-yard, par 5, requiring a tee shot over a creek fed by the two large ponds lining both sides of the fairway. This facility also has a miniature golf course on the property that children can play while the adults are playing the large course.

In Shock!, Sep 05, 2011
reviewer: Jon Barron from Burlington, NJ USA
NEVER AGAIN, DON'T GOLF HERE. The greens are kept up horribly. The greens fees are through the roof, for the quality that's provided. The sad part is I was ok with this but the staff, complete jerks and I've never made a formal complaint with any company before but this is just UNFORGIVABLE. The attendant behind the counter accused me of playing more than 18 holes, called me a LIAR and seemingly expected me to pay extra because I took longer than 4 hours to play 18 holes (mind you I stopped in to get lunch after the 9th hole which took 45 mins and he was standing 15 feet from me as well as let people pass me). DON'T GOLF HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CALLED NAMES. I am APPALLED and the owner should be ashamed of this establishment! I'm telling everyone I know and posting this at every website I can find, WHAT A GREAT WAY TO SPEND MY 2011 LABOR DAY!

Laid back with basically no dress code. Pretty wide open without much water to lose balls in. If you're intermediate or better you may want to go elsewhere.

Staff are rude, and course is not worth the money., Mar 28, 2009

If you want to play golf then go somewhere else. This is not for a avid golfer, it is more for the seniors to walk and get their exercise. I just recently drove by, and stopped in to check it out, and maybe see if things changed. Nothing changed, it is run by same bunch of old rude individuals, who are like a bunch of city slickers are trying to run a farm, it just does not work. I would much rather pay the aditional small amount of money to play a real golf course. I do not consider this a real golf course, but more of a track of farm land with holes in it. I guess if you are a local, a senior, can't drive more than two miles from home, and on a very, very tight budget, then this is the course for you.

Goose Down, Jun 23, 2008
reviewer: Gary from New Jersey, USA
My three friends and I played this course on Monday June 23, '08. There is no tee time, so anyone can walk on and play. This course is a favorite for the Senior Citizens who chose to walk the very flat course, and there is no starter, so they can go out as foursomes, twosomes, or singles which really makes for slow play. That should have thrown up a red flag to our foursome. The course had their sprinkler system on all morning, so a good drive down the middle of the fairway could put you playing your ball right smack in the middle of the water. Why be punished for a good shot. Here is the worst part of the entire course. They have a goose problem, but don't seem to mind at all. On numerous greens, there were goose dropping covering the entire green, so what you do not pick up on your shoes, your ball collects the rest, not to mention trying to putt a 10 footer through it all. To make a long story short, you get exactly what you pay for, and less on this course.

Not for beginners, Aug 04, 2007
reviewer: Anonymous from Bordentown, NJ
10 year old who has 120-140 yard drive, learning to golf. Thought the course would be good because its smaller. They kindly accepted our money, let us start our game and then discriminated against a child playing because parent was not a golfer. Many other courses in the area to play, would not recommend Springfield.

Used to be better, Mar 20, 2006
reviewer: Mike Leone from Pennsauken, NJ USA
When I first started golfing at Springfield, I loved it. 18 holes, a cart, and a lunch for a low twenty-something bucks was great. The course was always in pretty good condition too. Recently though, the greens on the front nine are awful. There isn't much grass, and there is no way to get a true putt. I will say that the back nine is very nice and the greens are great. I don't know if it was the dry summer that hurt the front, but it isn't fair to even attempt to putt.

Good for Beginners, Jul 14, 2005

Awesome open fairways and a good atmosphere. I played 9 holes in about an hour and half on a Saturday morning. Waiting to tee off can be a bit annoying, but overall the place is good.

Excellent for the beginner, May 20, 2004
reviewer: Eric from Langhorne, PA
Learned to golf at Springfield. Great course for the beginning golfer. Most holes are wide open with large and easy to read greens. Very forgiving and will keep the beginner interested without frustrating him/her. An easily walkable course. Decent range and very affordable. Pace of play can be slow on weekends or holidays, especially for such a short course. Best played off-peak hours such a late afternoon on the weekends. Can do all 18 in 2.0 / 2.5 hours if no one is in front of you..
