This course was build on the site of an old farm. It's a links-style design with few trees, but plenty of man-made lakes. This is a unique course to the area. Most of the nearby courses are traditionally wooded in design. The greens are large and quick, and the fairways are open. The signature hole is #18, a 307-yard, par 4, which calls for an iron off the tee. This short par 4 has water skirting the left of the hole and trees and rough on the left. A creek crosses the green, which is raised with a stone wall at the front. Overall, this course is in excellent condition. The service provided by the staff is top notch.

Good Course, Sep 06, 2005

I don't think public course golfer was at the right place, while the tees are sometimes played heavily the rest of the course is in wonderful shape. Fast Greens and great fairways. Would play again. Much better than the municipal courses in the area.

Nice staff, but it's just an old farm with greens, Jan 05, 2005
reviewer: Public course golfer from Lancaster
Very dissapointing club. I have played this course 5 times (mostly tournaments) and am always dissapointed. The tees are horrible as you are often standing in huge old and new divots. The balls on the driving range are old and are like hitting rocks. Although there are a 5 or 6 interesting holes, at the end of a 5 1/2 hour round, many people agree that there are much better Lancaster courses to spend your time and money on. The staff is wonderful and that's what the extra star is for.

played it twice in 2004......greens fast, yard markers helpful, like # 9 hole due to water background.....as a journeyman golfer with limited experience I only lost 2 balls, but found three. will play again
