This course was built on predominantly flat terrain, but there are some mounds that can affect your lies. The fairways are tree lined, and the small greens are undulating and have medium speed. There is a double-tiered green on one of the holes. Water hazards (a creek and two ponds) come into play on twelve holes. The course is closed until 9 AM on Mondays.

Mt. Prospect is a respectable layout and a great value for the dollar. Very enjoyable and in fairly good condition.
