This facility added nine new holes in 1998. The new nine includes plenty of waste areas to cross. Forget looking for your ball if it heads into the waste area or adjoining woods, which are full of rocks, brush and possible reptiles. The original holes are fairly flat and also feature tree-lined fairways. There is water coming into play on six holes on the original nine, and the greens are medium-sized and very fast.

When I lived in PA I tried to play here when ever I could. A great layout which is always kept in great shape. Well worth every penny they ask for green fees. It's a must play.

This is a scenic, challenging course that offers something for everyone. The carts feature GPS which is great it helping you figure out yardage as well as visualize greens hidden by hills and/or doglegs. They are building an additional 9 holes, making it a great course for tournaments.

"A true hidden jewel"
If you ever get a chance to play this course then do it. It's longer than you think it is and it is a very tough course. The course is kept in excellent shape and the weekday cost to play is very reasonable. The membership cost is also very reasonable for someone who is looking for a moderately priced country club.

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

It has a nice setting and a nice quiet atmosphere. The greens and fairways are competative. It's a descant place to go if you're looking for a pricey game.
