This course, located adjacent to San Francisco Bay, is a scenic design developed on gently rolling terrain with the feel and character of a Scottish-links course. The course features relatively large, sloping and well-maintained greens, more than eighty bunkers, sixteen acres of freshwater lakes that come into play on nine holes, and four sets of tees. Afternoon winds place a premium on proper club selection and add to the challenge of the course. The 6,061-yard men's tee also has a ladies' course rating of 74.3 and slope of 128. The 5,400-yard ladies' tee also has a men's course rating of 66.4 and slope of 111.

Course was in great shape. The greens are probably the smoothest and true rolling greens in the area. Even after the large amounts of rain from late October the course drained very well, the money they have put into this place has really paid off. Everyone was very friendly from the proshop to the maintenance crew who waved and would even turn off their machines if we were near by. The birds seem to really be a nuisance, but saw a very happy dog running around to try and scare them off the playing areas. My compliments to the City of Mountain View, very nice and will definitely play here more often!
