The signature hole on this course is #3, a 499-yard, par 5, featuring a view of Lake Balleger and requiring a shot over Hall's Creek. In total, water hazards (Hall's Creek) come into play on holes #1, 3, 5, and 6. The tree-lined fairways are in rough condition; however, the small undulating greens are in excellent shape. The City of Mountlake Terrace has invested $1 million into drainage and other improvements.

Great course to work on short game, Feb 03, 2005

I enjoy playing there because it's not busy and each hole is unique and each hole presents it's own sort of challenge. Also, this place is cheap & great course to go to on a rainy or cold day. I like it a lot more than Interbay. That course is too crowded, not challenging and frankly not as pretty. I only posted this review to stick up for the course - It is a risky review because I don't want everyone to start taking their grandkids there! :)

Emerald Lakes Golf Center
"The nicest 9 hole around"
Emerald Lakes is a fun little course that provides the basic golf experiance to the younger golfers in the Elk Grove area. The course has many hazards, including hole 5 which is as good as an island hole as you could get at any 9 hole course. The Course tends to be real hard in the summer and extremely wet during the winter. Give the grass at least 3 or 4 days to soak up water after a hard rain or you'll be chipping out of the mud on most holes. Overall, the course provides just enough amusement to keep the low end golfers happy, while aslo providing a great practice facility including a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. The bottom line, this is the best 9 hole course in the Elk Grove Area.

Whispering Pines Golf Club
"Childhood Hole in One"
I got my hole-one-on the par-3 7th. Its the kind of hole that it could happen any day to any of us. And hey, thats gotta be worth something!!! The green is two tiered and the top tier is hard to stay on, the ball likes to role down to the bottom, always where the pin is. You tee off from above, the hole is about 120 yrds I think. So, get it on the green, watch it role and you've got yourself a chance my friend! Overall, the course is a 9 holer and its fun. Golf period...is fun, come on right.

White Hawk Country Club
"Better than others around"
I have golfed at White Hawk for the past three summers and have found it to be a challenging three courses. With black being the hardest it is to the difficult level of a 5-10 handicap player. On average I should in the high 70's and find some days more challenging then others depending on pin placement. But if you are a golf with great accuracy then this course will be almost no match for you. For if you are able to stay in the farways even par is something insight. The course itself is taken care of very nicely and almost all of the employees are friendly. Overall it is my favorite course in the area.
