This lush eighteen hole resort golf course is links in design, however, it is not typically flat. There is subtle sloping throughout the layout. There is a great variety of greens design, both in size and contour. They range in size from the largest, measuring 9,800 square feet, to the smallest, covering just 3,400 square feet. Nine holes are affected by water, in the form of seven ponds and one creek. There are five par 5's and five par 3's on the course. The longest par 5 tops out at 556 yards from the back tee. The signature hole is #18, a 556-yard, par 5, which faces the resort hotel. It features a dogleg fairway that breaks slightly to the right. Water skirts the entire left side of the fairway.

I love this course. Extremely challenging. Get the yardage book. At least 5 blind shots and you have to know where to go. I wish I could find the article this course was designed from. I know 18 is Pebble. Designed from the famous article - Sports Illustated in 1966 - 18 best holes - this course will challange even the low handicap. Try it out and you will be back.

"One of the best In Seattle area"
Rainier Golf has everything for the family. Nice greens, beautiful fairways, ponds, and a great crew that takes care of it. It has an older clubhouse with French stying. Ron Proctor the last Superintendent, drove the course into a new direction by rebuiding all of the fairways, adding six to twelve inches of sand, drainage, and training the best crew to care for it. He kept up on new mowers, bringing high quality, cutting edge practices into the day to day maint. of the course. Rainier golf is worth the money. All done through two generations of golf Superintendent know how. Rainier is a links style layout, and challenging for everyone.

Highlands Ridge
"Hidden Gem"
Played South @ North Courses. South is short but challenging. Very enjoyable. Lots of character. Great condition. Flowers everywhere. North Course is a newly opened(2003) exceptional layout. Both courses are well worth the trip. You won't be disappointed.
