This course, built on rolling terrain, features many large trees that can alter your shots. Water hazards come into play on a ten holes. The signature hole is #18, a 437-yard, par 4, requiring a long approach shot over a pond to a small green. Tee times are only reserved for the weekends. The course does not open until noon on Monday. A caddie service is available on weekends and holidays.

A well maintained, difficult course that can prove to be quite challenging. Some of the greens are extremely teared and almost unfair in some situations. The ball must be kept in the short grass to avoid the rather thick rough and hazards. Overall, this is a beautiful golf course that will challenge any player. I suggest joining if you live in the area.

All bent grass, U S. Open rough, many trees pines and hardwoods, must keep the ball in the fairway, course well maintained, plays harder than slope rating.

Painted Mountain Golf Club - Executive Course

Rancho San Joaquin Golf Course

With it's many doglegs and elevation changes, this course will quickly teach the beginners how to setup their approaches, while giving the lower handicap players a reasonably challenging round. 5 of the first nine pins cannot be seen from the tees. If you spray your tee shots, you will surely be struggling to make par. The par threes are deceiving with two short downhills, and two 150-ish up hills. These have been my achilles heel. There are not to many water hazzards, but they are well/poorly place depending on your tendancies. They can easily swallow your ball if your not carefull. The traps are typically limited to wrapping the greens, but watch out for the 5th hole, with its deceiving horizontal sand at 230 yards out. The grounds are well kept with mid speed greens that exactly match the practice green. Prepare for an even mix of wide and narrow fairways, and many misleading doglegs, both slight and sharp. This course has made me a better golfer, and I can't say that about many. Enjoy!

Desert Aire Golf Course

Desert Aire is a good course for beginners to play because it is flat and doesn't offer too much in the way of hazzards to get in the way of an enjoyable round. They also have good deals for junior players.

A delightful little 9 hole course with a challenge and terrific scenery. Pleasant staff and facilities, friendly atmosphere. Great pro teacher. And the prices are right. Crowded on weekends (of course) but midweek is fast play.
