This facility has two regulation eighteen hole courses. The East Course has water hazards coming into play on some holes. The most severe dogleg fairway is on hole #2, a 538-yard, par 5. This course's greens are large and well bunkered. The West Course is the older of the two courses. There are several trees lining the fairways, two ponds that come into play on a couple holes, and sand bunkers throughout the entire course. This club features a two-for-one special, which includes a cart and rounds for two golfers. Tee time reservations are accepted only for weekends. The green fees shown are for non-residents.

A fun day for all, Aug 19, 2006 |

| Countryside East (now called the Prairie course) is a course for all handicaps. The fairways are wide and real trouble only rises up when you are terribly crooked. Several fairway bunkers guard "doglegs" on a few holes but big hitters can carry them and "straighten out" the dogleg. The greens are fairly straight forward and the speed is average. The only real defense this track has is wind. If it blows hard the scores rise meteorically. If not.......it's birdie time!High handicappers can shoot a lifetime best on this track and scratch players will flirt with going very low.Weekend play is very slow. Expect 5+ hour rounds after 10AM. |

Wicked greens, Jun 01, 2004 |

| I played this course after Lake county had been pummeled by rain for about a week. It had drained fairly well for what we had been getting. The front 9 the wind is your biggest factor. Wide open leaning towards a links style. When the wind was in your face it was straight on but on the holes when it was at your back it was always across the fairway L to R or vice versa. Back 9, wider fairways and less wind. Greens are very, very very tricky...read the putts in sections. Just when you get past the first big break in the green another little one will sneak up and send it the other. Good facilities, well maintained and good for the $. Only complaint is that no carts (due to the rain) even though there is cart path on 90% of the course. |
