This facility offers two nine hole courses. The Regulation Course incorporates water hazards on four holes. The fairways are wide open, and the greens are always in excellent condition. The signature hole is #9, a 457-yard, par 4, presenting beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a gorgeous willow tree that protects one side of the green. The Executive Course caters mainly to beginning players, juniors and senior citizens. However, this course is often requested over the Regulation Course because the design forces players to use every club, especially all of the irons. The layout provides great practice for the short game, in particular.

Spring Valley Country Club
"Challenging course"
Spring Valley is an older club that recently upgraded the course layout. They changed 3 or 4 holes in the last few years. The course has no housing development on it and includes several holes that require specific tee shot placement. A good deal of wooded area surrounds the course and water does come into play on several holes. The clubhouse is typical country club and I suggest the prime rib. Outstanding.

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.

Rockport Country Club
"Best Kept Secret In Texas"
I am a very experienced player who really enjoyed the great conditions and excellent design of this golf course. I later found out that it is a Bill Coore design. He is considered one of the best minimalist designers working today. The members of this course are hiding a real gem in Southeast Texas.

Tippecanoe Lake Country Club
"Pleasantly surprised"
Yes, I played tippy twice last summer, I was impressed the greens are well manicured, as are the fairways, the rough, although nearly nonexistent is playable. The fairways are hilly and narrow. Overall, it was a nice playing course for your average golfer. P.S the food in the clubhouse is excellent, try the bunger burger.
