This mature course features fast, well-manicured greens. The fairways are wide and plush. Water hazards come into play on six holes, and numerous sand bunkers have been incorporated into the course design. Only members are allowed to reserve tee times for the weekends. Non-members must tee off before 3 PM on weekdays and after 3 PM on weekends, unless accompanied by a member. The ladies' par is actually 76.

It is a great course just to go out and play a nice round of golf and it isnt to eaisy of a course but hard enough for some.

"Declining conditions"
Having played this course over the last ten years, I can't help but be dismayed by the declining conditions. It is a classic course that was consistently enjoyable until the last two years. In this time, the course condition, length of rounds and restaurant amenities have all gone downhill. I hope that they can turn this around because it is no longer worth the greens fee that they charge.

I only have one complaint about this course, and that is that it is to wide. Putts do not break on this course either. It does not matter how much the green looks like it will break it does only slightly.

Elm Tree Golf Course
"Great Time"
I played this course a few times in 2003 and I had a great time. Not one of the hardest ones I have played, but really long shots and nice wide fairways. I have to say if you are in CNY area and in the area between Cortland and Ithaca, NY Elm Tree Golf Course has to be a stop.
