This course was built on rolling hills and has tall, thick, purple sage for its rough. The elevated greens are fairly fast and well bunkered. There is one pond that comes into play on hole #7, a 138-yard, par 3. The wind is often a factor because of the club's location next to Lake Michigan.

This course is challenging, given the rolling hills of each fairway. The elevations are dynamic, the course is beautiful, and the grounds are very well maintained.

Cameron Hills Golf Links
"One of the Best I've played"
I had a wonderful time playing Cameron Hills last season. I found this shorter course was both enjoyable and challenging. This is my first year swinging a club and I have visited several courses. I felt this course allowed me to play a challenging round while improving my skills without the frustration of the harder courses. Even though Cameron Hills is an hour away from home, I plan on making a couple of trips to the links this year. I played the course right after Hurricane Isabel played through and the only problem I had with the course was the debris from the hurricane. I don't hold that against Cameron Hills, they made a good attempt at working around the fallen trees. Thanks for a great time, I'm looking forward to visiting again.

River Isles Golf Course
"Keeps My Golf Game Tuned"
River Isles is a short course but it is enjoyable to play. The course is well maintained. Greens are excellent. I like to play it because it does not take all day to play it. That gives me more time to do something else and my wife likes that too. I always play 18 and when I finish the first nine, I get cuts at the first tee so I can continue with my second nine. I can play the 18 holes in about 2 hours and 30 minutes. It's a tight course and the holes are interesting. Lots of trees to add Character to the course. Some water that can come into play if you let it. If you play it once, you'll come back.
