This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. These very scenic courses are home to an abundance of wildlife. All three courses play basically the same. However, the Bear Course is just a little easier than the other two courses. All three courses have narrow fairways that are tree lined, and small greens that are well bunkered. The signature hole on the Otter Course is #9, a 521-yard, par 5, which is well bunkered and has water coming into play down the right side of its fairway. The Bear Course's signature hole is #4, a 165-yard, par 3, requiring a tee shot to a peninsula green.

River Oaks is an interesting and challenge track in the Myrtle Beach area without the over priced green fees that many of the courses in the area are asking.

Where is the water? it is only on one hole, and it is not in play. You could hit a 9 iron over it. Short, but tight track. well kept, with a few good holes. only a couple stupid holes.

Throckmorton Country Club
"The Best Little Course in West Texas!"
This 9 hole course is the hardest little course I have ever played! If you think the Links is hard wait until you play this bad boy! The hardest hole would probably be #7. This par 5 may look easy when you step up on these elevated tee boxes but just wait until you tee off. Thats when the adventure begins. The second hardest would the #5. This par 4 dogleg right is probably the hardest par 4 on the course. Of course there are a few easy holes thrown in just so you don't lose your confidence. So if you are ever traveling through Throckmorton; be sure and stop to play "The Best Little Course in West Texas!"

Woodstock Country Club is one of the tightest and toughest courses in the area. Considering the very small and ungulating green and the tight tree lined fairways. It has many rolling hills and uphill/downhill lies.

Waynesville Country Club Inn - Carolina/Dogwood Course

Each spring for the past 20 years I have left the cold of Wisconsin to meet friends from Tenn.and Ohio for a weekend of golf. The course is always in excellent condition, The lodging,food etc. is great but most impressive is the staff. The friendliest folks you ever want to meet from check-in to check-out.Can't say enough about the experience.
