Nashua, Iowa T & C Country Club Review by JK, Jul 25, 2006

| Hilly 9 hole course. Plenty of trees (especially for Iowa) give the course a nice look, but fret not, the fairways are wide enough to be receptive to a slightly wild tee shot. Many tee boxes are elevated. Two par 4's are dogleg left, and three holes are Par 3's on this Par 35 course. The greens and the fringe were perfect when I was there on 7/23/06, but the fairways were below average... the grass was the correct length, but small holes (similar to fairways recently aerated) made good lies rare. The score card advises players to use winter rules. Being allowed to move the ball a few inches makes it more fair (and enjoyable) when you manage to hit the fairways. The rough was short enough that it was easy to find your ball, but still long enough to provide a challenge. The price was $18 to play it twice on a Sunday, not bad. All in all, I probably wouldn't recommed that anyone drive two hundred miles just to play this course, but I enjoyed the round and the course enough that I would play it again if I were in the area. |

| Plays nice when has ample rain. Not much trouble on the course. The greens are tricky. You will need to read the break and figure out the speed to put well most days. |
