What a boring course - aweful, Jul 26, 2008

Played this course many years ago and enjoyed it back then. Was recently invited (it's private) to play there and was very disappointed. BORING! Here's the layout: 1st hole - straight; 2nd hole - straight dowmhill; 3rd hole - straight; 4th hole straight; 5th hole used to be a fantastic par 4, easy green to reach but one of the toughest greens anywhere made par 4 a good score - now it's, you guessed it, straight, short and an absolute embarassment; 6, 7, 8 and 9 all, yup, straight. As are 10 and 11. 12 has a SLIGHT dogleg left at the end but then its back to straight on 13, 14 and 15. 16 is GASP a dogleg left FINALLY. 17 and yes 18 are also straight. How someone could actually join this place and not be bored by May is beyond me. Save your $$$$, dont join this dump; there are a dozen better courses in the area (Overlook, Owl's Nest, Sky Meadow)that are way more enjoyable.

For a seasonal area like NH this place gets up to speed and stays beuatiful all season long. The facilities are accomodating and provide an atmosphere becoming of a Golf Course. Highly recomend playing this course if ever a chance arrises especially becuse the opportunity is rare as it is a private course. Try the John Wirbal Memorial Tournament 2 years running..a great opportunity to meat great people and play this wonderfull course.

The course was in excelent condtion. It played dfficult enough to create a challange but not overwhelming. The greens we slick but held when a ball hit them. I would suggest if you get the opportunity to play this course you take it.
