This club recently renovated its greens. Some greens are elevated and mildly undulating. Mature trees line the fairways, and there is a creek that comes into play on one hole. One of the most difficult holes is #18, a 427-yard, par 4, requiring an uphill tee shot to a landing area which is protected by trees, then an uphill approach shot to an elevated green. This is one of seven municipal courses in the local area.

Harpeth Hills is a very good course. It is well maintained with much variety. It is very much a parksland course with many mature trees. Also, you are always sure to see wildlife, whether it it deer or wild turkeys.It is the best municipal course I have ever played.

Great area, good course. Pretty well maintained course with plenty of challenging holes. Only negative would be the tee times not being spead out enough. Either being on someone's heels or someone on yours.

A challenge to any golfer. Play it from the back tees and it is all you can handle. Seems like your hitting the ball uphill all day long. A true test of your golfing ability! A well maintained golf course with quick greens.

Southmoore Golf Course
"Tough Day"
I played this course with my brother,(scratch) on a Saturday in September 2003. We found it easily, we paid and went thru the rather surly starter and we were off, there wasn't much of a wait on the first tee. The first couple of holes were standard, it was a rather breezy day so I was really challenged to keep my ball on our the fairway.(this would be my problem for most of the round). Nice elavation changes, and the course looked great compared to it's neighbor,(whitetail). Dogs and beer at the turn. The back nine was just as nice as the front. Immaculate greens with challenging pin positions. Afterwards it was a couple of more beers and burgers at the lounge. Good food. If we had more time we would have gone to their fine dining restaurant, got a glance at their menu, looked really nice. great sunset too! Overall a great day.

I think that overall the course is nice. It could be so much better. Like if the fairways were bent grass and if you would take care of your creek edges and ponds. We would also like to send out all of our thanks to Darel Doss for making Hickory Hills a better place to be. Oh and by the way Wapahani, you just better watch out. We might have a suprise in confrence!
