This course has narrow fairways that are tree lined. The back nine has out-of-bounds stakes lining every hole, so shot accuracy is essential. Water hazards come into play on three different holes, and sand bunkers come into play on almost every hole throughout the design. The greens are small, undulating and fast.

Immaculate Country Club, Mar 15, 2004

Both my parents and grandparents were members at Ridgeway, so I have had plenty of experience there. The course is always in immaculate condition, and the facilities are top notch. The course itself, though not very long, can be challenging. It is an old course, with fairways lined by mature trees. There are many ups and downs, and some of the greens are diabolical. The number 16 Green, for example, drops nearly six feet from right to left. The membership is generally very friendly, and the place does not have the snobbish feel of many clubs.

Cave Creek Golf Course
"Great beginner course"
I grew up playing this course. As a kid, there was enough "forgiveness" on the course to keep my interest. Now that I've played for a few years, it's not my favorite, but still a nice course for those learning the game. Enough difficulty to learn to place shots and use a draw or fade, though. Also, the large creekbed running through the middle makes for some interesting tee shots on a few holes. The positive is, you can usually set up tee time day of. This makes it a nice course to just pick up the clubs and go hit if you feel the urge. In summer, BRING SUNSCREEN. Not much shade.

Kentucky Dam Village State Resort and Golf has been the site of our spring trip for 9 years now. The cost and the course are some of the best you will encounter. The staff has treated us like family every year we spend there. The course is as hard as you want to make it. Spend some time here and you will want to come back year after year like our group of twenty.
