This pretty straight forward course was built on flat terrain and doesn't have too many trees that can alter your shots. All the holes on the back nine are positioned around lakes. The greens are medium speed.

I have driven by this course for years on my way to the Ozarks. It's worth the time to stop and play. A long course where you can get into trouble. The par 3's are very enjoyable.

I'm a season ticket holder. I think the course could and should be maintained at a higher level. As for the course itself, it's nice enough for the price ($12 green fees). The city has chosen to call it a semi-links style course which basically means they don't cut the rough. The tee boxes aren't flat and there is almost no elevation change throughout the course. Paved cart paths and some of the better greens around do make up for the course's shortcomings. The cart rental is $9 a piece to split a cart or $18 for one person. If you're any kind of golf fan at all it's worth playing at least once.

"Nice Layout"
Course is well laid out, no worry of hitting into or being hit by other fairways. Golf community with housing that doesn't inhibit play. Bent grass greens are small, but fast and true. Traps need work. Rolling terrain provides challenge. Water hazards on about half the holes. Pretty course.

This 18-holer had a great mix of long and short holes, challenging and intermediate greens. This course is in particularly good condition year after year for such hard winters. Besides for some of the grumpy old men who play the course, and think they own it and let you know it (standard, yet dieing breed of golf clientele for some courses), I have had several fantastic rounds on this course.

Vista Valencia Golf Course - Executive Course
"Short crowded course no joy to play"
Vista Valencia is a golf course that survives because it is one of the few places to play in the highly populated Santa Clarita Valley. This is a classic American Golf type of club. Short on amenities and long on wait, wait, wait. The goal here is to get as many people on the course that ensures the day's sales. Some very short tricked up par three's, par four's are somewhat better #1, #7, #10, and #18 are decent. It is hard to keep this course in great shape and the practice facilities are always crowded. Play somewhere else if you have a chance in So. Cal rather than here. Rounds can be up to five hours long on this executive course.
