This course is fairly flat, but there are some small mounds and depressions that can affect your shots. There are water hazards that come into play on seven holes. The greens are undulating, and there is a combination of ninety grass and sand bunkers throughout the course.

played as a guest of Rob McCurran's last Friday. Had a great time, enjoyed the layout and everything else too. I've played at courses all over this year, and while don't like being in them, your traps had the best sand I've seen. Nice staff, from the restaurant to the pro shop.

Goose Creek Golf Club
"Great course for the aveage golfer"
This is a first rate facility for any golfer. A great putting green and practice area. The course is an intersting yet very playable for the average golfer and a challange from the tips for the better player. Good tee shots are a must. You can get into trouble with an errant tee shot on some of the holes. The greens are interesting. Some are multi layered and were in great condition the last time I played there.

Silver Spring Country Club
"Silver Spoon"
I have played a total of 4 rounds as a guest at Silver Spring. This classic and traditional course is well-maintained with speedy greens that can have you on your knees in a hurry. Wonderful course to walk, even for those of us more inclined to ride. Beautiful woodland setting where deer seem to enjoy free range, even on the greens! (Hoof prints don't make for straight putts) Staff was courteous and friendly despite the blue blood atmosphere. Nice joint.

Stevens Park Golf Course
"Classic Muny"
Stevens is only a few minutes from downtown. It's in a beautiful area and has some scenic views of Dallas. It's a classic muny and a good course to walk. There are many challenging holes and there are some very easy holes. Number 2 is a very short par 4 and is reachable from all of the tees. Number 12 is a short par 5 dog leg that is reachable in 2 but there are many well placed trees and an elevated green with a mean slope and you'll be happy if you get your 5. There are a few holes where you can hit your drive as far as you can but most take some strategy off the tee. On 17 you can hit 220 yards straight away or 140 yards to the right side of the fairway and both will leave an open short iron shot to the green... if you avoid two beautiful oaks and a wide creek on that tee shot. The par 3's are gorgeous and the two on the back are included in the 3 hardest on the back nine handicap chart. Stevens Park is a favorite, great taquitos in the snack bar too.
